Presented to the Chapter with the highest membership attendance at Professional Education Programs
Emil (Bob) Scharff, Jr graduated cum laud from the University of Southern California with a major in accounting. He joined the Los Angeles office of Arthur Young & Co. as an auditor. Bob opened Arthur Young's San Diego office in 1959 and was later named a partner in the firm. In the mid-1970's, he transferred to San Francisco where he became the firm's Managing Partner, a position he held until his retirement.
Bob Joined the San Diego Chapter of IMA in 1960 and was elected chapter president for the 1966-67 year. He became a National Director in 1968 and National Vice President in 1971. Bob served on various national committees before he was elected National President in 1981. Also. Bob is a member of the Stuart Cameron McLeod Society.
